EmpowerHER Initiative
EmpowerHer Initiative
The EmpowerHER Initiative responds to these complex challenges with a comprehensive approach. Through targeted financing, vocational training programs, and customized business support, we empower women to overcome the barriers of poverty.By investing in their capabilities and facilitating pathways to economic self-sufficiency, we equip them with the means to establish sustainable livelihoods, provide for their families, and actualize their aspirations for a more promising future.
Our work also includes supporting the Balaniketan Girls’ Centre—a rehabilitation home located in Dammaiguda, Medchal District, Hyderabad. The centre provides a safe space for 15 girls who come from difficult circumstances such as runaways, orphans, semi-orphans, street children, and children whose parents are unable to care for them due to financial hardship. Directed by the Child Welfare Committee (Government), the centre offers these girls food, clothing, shelter, and a safe environment, with education being our top priority. We run bridge courses to help the girls integrate into mainstream schools, most of which are government-supported.
Through our Empower initiatives, our goal is to provide hope, dignity, and a brighter future for every girl we support.
Financial Assistance and Business Support
The EmpowerHER Initiative is dedicated to empowering women entrepreneurs through comprehensive support, combining financial assistance with tailored business training and ongoing mentorship. This initiative provides women with access to capital through targeted financing to start or expand businesses, complemented by mentorship and advisory services.
These services guide women through business challenges and equip them with essential skills in financial management, marketing, and product development. The goal is to foster economic independence, create sustainable livelihoods, promote gender equality, and drive community development by investing in women’s entrepreneurial ventures.
We focus on funding a diverse array of business ideas, including but not limited to:
- Baking and pastry businesses
- Tailoring and fashion design
- Handicrafts and artisan products
- Small-scale farming and livestock rearing
- Food stalls and catering services
- Beauty and wellness services
- Home-based daycare centers
- Local retail shops and boutiques
- Traditional weaving and textile production
- Eco-friendly and sustainable product ventures
These ventures are selected for their potential to generate sustainable income, utilize local resources, and foster community growth.
Women's Wellness Initiative
The Women’s Wellness Initiative, part of the broader EmpowerHER program, is dedicated to advancing menstrual hygiene, reproductive health education, and addressing sensitive women’s health issues. It seeks to eliminate taboos surrounding menstrual health by equipping women with knowledge and resources to prioritize their well-being in a supportive environment. This initiative includes comprehensive menstrual hygiene education through workshops and sessions that promote awareness of menstrual cycles and proper product use. Additionally, it ensures access to affordable and sustainable menstrual products, promoting dignity in managing menstrual health.
Moreover, the initiative fosters community engagement by collaborating with local healthcare providers, educators, and leaders to advocate for women’s health rights. Together, we aim to create an inclusive dialogue on sensitive health topics, challenging societal norms and empowering women to take charge of their health with confidence and respect. Through these efforts, the Women’s Wellness Initiative strives to create lasting impacts on women’s lives and promote a healthier, more supportive community environment.
